Depoliticizing comfort women
Article Abstract:
The United States House of Representatives has demanded the Japanese government a formal apology adressed to comfort women who were considered as sex slaves. However, the U.S. allegedly did not reviewed fully the nature and use of comfort women during the war. The impacts of World War II and the resolution for a formal apology to comfort women on the U.S.-Japan relationship are discussed.

Affixing blame
Article Abstract:
Despite effort by the federal government, U.S. World War II POWs have filed suits in California against companies that used them as slave laborers. These POWs are demanding more than $1 billion in back wages, and compensation for mistreatment. The federal government objects, stating that this interferes with the country's ability settle wars, etc.
