Finmeccanica awaits Airbus invitation
Article Abstract:
Finmeccanica SpA thinks that Alenia Aerospazio, its aerospace subsidiary, will be allowed to join Airbus Industrie after the partners in the passenger-jet consortium have figured out its consolidation. Alenia, a manufacturer of sections of passenger jets, had negotiations two years ago with Airbus partners about joining the consortium, but they were unable to come to a conclusion. Alberto Lina, Finmeccanica chief executive, said he thinks the talks will begin again after Airbus is transformed from an alliance into a single company.
