Article Abstract:
Peter Mandelson is the United Kingdom trade and industry secretary and he does not have a close relationship wth labor unions. He is more pro-business than Margaret Beckett, the previous trade and industry secretary. Mandelson has sought the aid of business for a project that he heads to construct a dome for the millennium. He will have to make rulings on companies involved in the millennium project. He also has a difficult relationship with John Prescott, deputy prime minister.
