This represents an increase of 9.2% since 1992, and the forecast is for further steady growth. However, analysts expected more growth considering the publicity given to healthy eating options. Frozen fish sales in 1996 were worth 534 million pounds sterling. Birds Eye Walls Limited is the market leader, with a 27% value share of the market, and own-label products account for 51% of sales.
