Furniture stores buck the price pitch
Article Abstract:
Sofas a la Carte of Vancouver, British Columbia, differs from many furniture chains by virtue of its marketing campaign. While most stores are dominated by discount advertising, Sofas a la Carte went for advertisements that could produce instant recall. In particular, the store wanted to emphasize its product affordability and fast delivery. The results were two advertisements, one depicting a speeding man in an armchair and the other, a basset hound lying on a brown couch with the words `fast' and `affordable.'
