NUMALIGARH REFINERY PLANS DIESEL SWAP WITH BANGLADESH
Article Abstract:
Numaligarh Refineries Limited (NRL) has drawn up a petroleum product swap deal with Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation and the government of Myanmar to supply diesel and kerosene from its three million tonne refinery to Bangladesh. As per the deal, Bharat Petroleum, one of the promoters of NRL, will receive an equivalent amount of product imported by Bangladesh, from middle-east, in Mumbai. In NRL, Bharat Petroleum holds 32 percent stake, IBP 19 percent stake and the government of Assam 10 percent, with the balance offered to the public. (gsh)

This indicates adequate safety with relatively higher standing in the category. Icra has also assigned an A1 rating, indicating highest safety, to the company's Rs100 crore commercial paper issue.
