Greece's Olympic Airways has signed a management contract with British Airways' subsidiary, Speedwing. Financial difficulties and labor difficulties could have an adverse effect on the airline. Future plans for Olympic are discussed.

Merrill Lynch to manage US$2bn Iberia IPO

The Spanish privatization agency, SEPI, has chosen Merrill Lynch as the global co-ordinator for Iberia, the Spanish state airline. The initial public offering for Iberia has been scheduled for the third or fourth quarter of 1999.
