Goldman Sachs' European leveraged buyout team has been active despite rumours of its lack of interest in the market. While the bank has announced eight jobs would be eliminated from the European team and redeployments of junior bankers in other areas has been undertaken the company's enthusiasm for LBOs has not waned, despite a depressed merger and acquisitions market.
