HATSUN MILK FOODS: FROM THE INVESTORS' POCKETS
Article Abstract:
Hatsun Milk Foods (HMS) has failed to meet the projections made at the time of its public issue. HMS had floated a Rs8.79 crore public issue at a premium of Rs45 per share in January 1996. The issue proceeds were to be used to make lumpsum payment for the annual payment obligations attached to the brand name Arun. HSM posted a net profit of Rs2.14 crore in 1996-97 against projected net profit of Rs3.69 crore. Its sales declined to Rs18.41 crore against projected sales of Rs21.95 crore. The scrip has not been traded since October 1997. HMS proposes to merge with Hatsun Milk Products. (gs)
