Hair care products in Germany
Article Abstract:
The hair care products market of both the old and new German states was examined. As hair care remains one of Germany's most dynamic cosmetic and toiletries markets, a real growth of 3% has been posted since 1993. This is a result of the growing trend toward hair washing. The growth of the hairspray sector is largely attributed to the launching of the strong-hold spray, while mousses and gels have captured the youth due to its fashionable image. Hair care products will continue to post a strong performance until 1998, with hairspray and conditioners doing most of the boosting.
