Strong support from Latino voters could propel him and Pres Clinton to victory in Nov 1996 elections.

It will be unfortunate if abortion becomes a loaded political issue in the UK as pro-life advocates pledge to make it one for the 1997 general elections. The abortion rate has remained steady in the UK and the procedure is supported by a majority of the public. Sex education may reduce rates.
