The D'Oyly Carte Opera Company is touring several productions of certain works of Gilbert and Sullivan in commemoration of the 150th anniversary Arthur Sullivan's birth. Evidence suggests that Arthur Sullivan desired highbrow success, but continued to write light opera with Gilbert to make money.
