Heaven or hell?
Article Abstract:
Tourism is a key foreign currency earner for Egypt, but there is a danger that the industry could be severely hit by terrorism, as occurred after the Luxor massacre. The industry accounts for the livelihood of around a seventh of Egyptians. Prices were cut and security was increased after the massacre. Tourists may avoid Cairo, and they could find themselves in developments that offer little to do. They should visit Cairo, and ancient sites at Luxor and in the Eastern Desert.
