Herring men 'don't own the fish' - Canadian minister
Article Abstract:
Canadian fisheries minister Geoff Regan has clarified that the fishes and other marine property of the herring fishery in the Southern Gulf of St. Lawrence belongs to the Department of Fisheries and Oceans and the said Department is managing the marine products for the benefit of Canadians. Regan also mentioned that herring in the region is not endangered.

Regional body for South India Ocean
Article Abstract:
South Indian Ocean Fisheries Agreement has been jointly signed by France, Kenya, Mozambique, New Zealand, the Seychelles and the Comoros with the objective of ensuring responsible fishing in regions lying outside their individual jurisdictions. Actions proposed by the agreement are presented.
