Hong Kong sisters with differing views: one reveres Martin Lee while the other fosters affinity for Beijing
Article Abstract:
Two Chinese sisters in Hong Kong have opposing political views. Cheung Fung-ling is a strong supporter of the Chinese Communist government. She was recruited in 1996 by the Democratic Alliance for the Betterment of Hong Kong and the Federation of Trade Unions and was awarded committee positions. Cheung Fung-ping, however, dislikes the Chinese authoritarian form of government and has become a staunch believer of democracy and civil rights.
