How to save itself
Article Abstract:
Peveko (Borsice, Czech Republic), regulation valve manufacturer, is developing co-operation with Honeywell, the largest regulation equipment manufacturer in the world, in 1998. The company assembles and tests roughly 15,000-20,000 regulation fittings valves for Honeywell's production plant in Emmen, the Netherlands, every week. The contract for Honeywell represents 50% of Peveko's exports. The remaining 50% is represented by the sales of Peveko's products to Slovakia, Poland, Russia and Canada. Exports represent one third of the firm's turnover. Peveko decided to co-operate with Honeywell after the firm's entrance to the domestic market in the first half of the 1990's. The entrance became a reason for Peveko's troubles, which resulted in an unspecified loss in 1994. In 1998 Peveko received a quality certificate from Honeywell Combustion Controls Center Europe, having won a tender for Honeywell's best European supplier.
