Huginn tows new stelth trawl doors
Article Abstract:
The salient features of the doors used in fishing that are manufactured by Denmark based Injector Trawl Doors Ltd., are discussed. These doors are in great demand in Iceland. According to Helgi Thorarinsson, an official from Injector, these doors save on fuels. The efficacy of these doors is discussed based on the installations on Huginn, a fishing vessel.

Helix Clamp maintenance trawl strength

Hampidjan, with Blue Line in Denmark has developed Helix clamp which is an aluminum clamp designed for Hampidjan's self spreading Helix ropes used in pelagic trawls. These Helix Clamps are labour saving though much depends on how many meshes have to be clamped.
