Hydro-Quebec's Transformer
Article Abstract:
Hydro-Quebec's president, Andre Caille, is credited for bringing back investor confidence to the utility company. Caille, who assumed the post of president in 1996, has also enabled the firm to operate with the least possible intervention from Canadian federal regulatory agencies. Industry analysts attribute the utility company's resurgence as a dominant player in its market to Caille's capability to generate support for his programs and projects. The firm's president has also gained recognition for his daily appearance in Quebec television to explain the utility's difficulties in the course of the ice storm of 1998.
