Number one in Albania
Article Abstract:
Marsel Skendo has emerged as Albania's leading entrepreneur in the wake of the recent economic reforms in the once rigidly orthodox communist state. Skendo, a former top trade negotiator, is president of the ADA Group, an Albanian-French joint venture that he helped set up when joint ventures were first permitted in Jul 1990. ADA has since launched a chain of duty free shops, set up the country's first private airline, and ventured into the distribution of computers. Skendo has also launched a business magazine to chronicle the activities of Albania's nascent business community.
