In vitro veritas: 3-D imaging
Article Abstract:
A Stanford Univ, CA, research group headed by Elizabeth Downing have developed a method of three-dimensional imaging that the viewer can actually see from all sides. The image is not opaque, so it has great potential for medical imaging uses. The technology is described.

Researchers are developing ways to use X-rays to image normally invisible materials such as soft body tissues by measuring how much the X-rays bend passing through different materials or thicknesses. Two different approaches by Australian research teams are described.
