Study finds Europe bird-flu defenses vary widely

A research paper concerning emergency preparedness against avian influenza in the European Union by the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine shows pandemic prevention policy varies widely across Europe. The study compares the health policy of all European countries against World Health Organization regulations with an average overall rating of 54 percent.
