Insurer Aegon's net rises 2.2%, growth in Americas is cited

AEGON N.V. of the Netherlands posted a net profit increase by 2.2 percent to 687 million Euros ($819 million) in the fourth quarter, up from 672 million Euros last year. Results are due to strong markets in the United States, United Kingdom and the Netherlands. The insurance giant's financial projections expect growth to continue.
