It's beneficial for firms to note employee costs in China
Article Abstract:
Multinational corporations planning to establish operations in China should consider employee benefits costs when making their decision. Chinese wages are still relatively cheap as compared to those in the West but employee benefits can amount to 200% of salary costs. The situation is exacerbated by Chinese laws which give employers very little flexibility not only in determining which benefits to offer but how to deliver them as well.

Shirking and motivations in firms: survey evidence on worker attitudes
Article Abstract:
The different issues that motivate employees to keep their word on promises in regard to work are examined with the help of a survey conducted in the U.S. The survey reveals that the rank orders of the motivations are moral, intrinsic, peer pressure and positive incentives.

High crime rate and poor policing in Papua New Guinea are discussed. The people in the country are as afraid of criminals as they are of the police. The atrocities being committed by the police in the country are also described.
