Article Abstract:
Kappa Karton Morava (KKM) (Zimrovice, Czech Republic), cardboard and corrugated paperboard manufacturer, expects its profit to increase by 25% to CEK 104 mil in 2001 compared to 2000. Its proceeds should increase by 14% to CEK 1.39 bil in 2001 compared to 2000. The firm saw a profit of CEK 83.5 mil in 2000. The profit was influenced by the firm's restructuring, which was started in 1997. Its cumulative loss amounted to over CEK 258 mil for 1997-1999. The loss was influenced by the bad payment habits of consumers, among others. In 2000 KKM exchanged 80% of its management staff, launched packaging, improved its relations with consumers and started its decentralization. The firm has two divisions, one in Zimrovice and one in Brno, Czech Republic. It has been owned by Kappa Packaging from AssiDomaen AB since 1997.
