Karosa (Vysoke Myto, Czech Republic), bus manufacturer, will supply 60 buses to Dopravni podnik hlavniho mesta Prahy (Prague, Czech Republic) in 2000. The worth of the supply is 440 mil Kc. The low-floor buses named City-Bus will strengthen Prague's public transport during the conference of the International Monetary Fund in Prague in 2000. Karosa sold 507 buses for the first half of 1999, 24% more compared to the same period in 1998. The firm's proceeds increased by 27% to 1.866 bil Kc for the first half of 1999 compared to the same period in 1998.

CBE will supply three turbines to the Congo

CKD Blansko Engineering (CBE) (Blansko, Czech Republic), engineering firm, will supply three turbines to a hydro-electric power plant in the Congolese Democratic Republic during 2001-2002. The project worth several dozens of millions of Czech crowns, which is covered by an unnamed Western European bank, should be realized in co-operation with ABC (Belgium).
