New typing keyboards are being designed in ways that will reduce the number of repetitive-motion injuries for users. Apple Computer has developed a keyboard that swivels in two places. It is not known yet how effective these new designs will be in reducing injuries.

There are calls to privatize the British Royal Mail again, as increased competition from private postal services are cutting into their business. A good majority of the public opposes such a move though, and the Post Office has been profitable for 17 years.

Office space availability in Tokyo is as high as it has ever been, and estimates say vacancies could reach 10% by 1995. Way too many office buildings were constructed during the boom times, and landlords have been very slow to reduce the rents.
