Korean companies are pitching open image on foreign investment
Article Abstract:
Some South Korean companies have begun highlighting their links to foreign investors in a bid to persuade consumers of their stability at a time when many companies are flirting with bankruptcy. While the idea of turning the presence of foreign money into a marketing pitch seems somewhat improbable given the xenophobia of the Korean establishment, the approach seems to have worked for some of the companies that have used it. A notable example would the once-troubled Korea First Bank, the institution that stressed its links to a US investment company and won back the public's confidence as a result.

India's privatization process is half-hearted
Article Abstract:
The long-heralded privatization program of India may be counterproductive to foreign investors, contrary to popular beliefs. An inductive depth analysis of the Indian privatization policy in the context of Mahbul Al Hac's parameters would show that the central government is not committed to serving the interest of foreign investors. The government's excessive concern over the protection of national interest makes the country virtually difficult for small and foreign companies.
