Lehman to name CEO for Europe; bank seeks to boost regional revenue
Article Abstract:
Lehman Brothers plans today to name former options trader, Jeremy Isaacs, as its new chief executive for Europe, beginning the implementation of aggressive plans for the region, targeted at doubling revenue within three years. Isaacs will replace current chairman and CEO Bruce Lakefield, who will soon retire. Isaacs is taking the position at a time when the investment bank is beginning to seriously penetrate the region, in part because of its role as advisor to Olivetti SpA in its takeover of Telecom Italia SpA.
