Mail order in Austria
Article Abstract:
The mail order market in Austria is expected to continue its swift growth through 1995, partly fueled by increasing disposable income. The Austrian mail order business, holding a 4% share of all retail sales, is the largest in Europe after Germany. From 1986 to 1991, home shopping sales increased 53% in real terms and are forecast to grow 9.3% from 1991 to 1995, while total retail sales will rise only 3.7%. The top four mail order operators hold 66% of the market.
