Managing uncertainty in orthopaedic trauma theatres
Article Abstract:
A series of simulation experiments were used to assess proposals to improve the utilization of orthopaedic trauma theatre sessions in a district general hospital in the United Kingdom. Several approximations are also examined as an alternative to the full simulation, which provides a method for examining the orthopaedic trauma theatre sessions.

The utility of returns to scale in DEA programming: an analysis of Michigan rural hospitals
Article Abstract:
The usage of data envelopment analysis for assessing the health care services in the state of Michigan is discussed. Suggestions are offered for evolving procedure for return to scale of inefficient hospitals. The performance improvement is measured using data envelopment analysis.
