Mexico: back door to the US
Article Abstract:
The Mexican economy is showing signs of a revival with a predicted economic growth of three percent for 1996 following recession during the early part of the 1990s. British investment has increased to a sum of $4 billion especially since foreign investment regulations have been revised. Foreign companies find that Mexico not only offers a cheap labour force and large domestic market but also as a participant of a free trade agreement with the USA, the country has free access to the American market place.

Buyers bite back
Article Abstract:
China's growing consumerism has produced a growing body of consumer rights lawsuits. Manufacturers and retailers funded through foreign investors are the most vulnerable to this kind of legal action. This activity is new to China, but is rapidly becoming enough of a significant social force to warrant training in consumer rights and customer relations.
