Milan teams up with Rimini

Sea Aeroporti di Milano, which operates Milan, Italy's Linate and Malpensa business airports, is purchasing a 30% interest in Rimini Airport for $570,000. Rimini caters to Italy's seaside resort and also serves as unofficial international airport of the Republic of San Marino, while awaiting the authorization of the Italian government. Another 40% will be bought over the coming three years with spending in the amount of $2.3 billion. The resort attracts around 2.5 million tourists annually, with the airport serving around 250,000 passengers.
