Mitsubishi mulls deeper cuts: partner sought for passenger-car operations
Article Abstract:
Mitsubishi Motors Corp is looking for a partner for its passenger-car operations and planning to cut production by 16%. However, the company has failed to attract some of the largest potential partners. One reason is that its proprietary gasoline direct-injection technology could not meet the American clean-air standards. The plan to reduce passenger car production capacity is due to the declining sales in the Japanese market.
