Money machine: software to transform personal financial control
Article Abstract:
Financial software is not only for corporations and its available to anyone with a PC. Intuit's Quicken Delux and Money 97 from Microsoft, two of the most frequently used money-management software packages, enable users to keep track of entire investment portfolios and incorporate budget-projection facilities. Both programs contain features for retirement planning; Money incorporates a budget planner, whilst Quicken features a debt reduction tool. However, neither are designed with Asia in mind and they are not able to handle multiple currencies. It is also difficult to track Asian-listed investments on-line with the two programs.

Talking tools
Article Abstract:
Microsoft has recently released Office 97, an extremely large set of programs covering databases, communication, presentation, financial planning and document preparation. It is designed to cover all office tasks and to become an invaluable tool for all companies which use PCs. It has many more features than ordinary users will ever require, but Microsoft defends this by stating that it is responding to customer demand. A key feature is 'Clippit,' a talking paperclip which guides users around the product.
