DARSHINIS SET TO TAKE ON COLAS WITH FRESH JUICES
Article Abstract:
The Indian fast food outlets, called Darshinis, under the banner of the Bangalore Hotel Consumers Association, plan to fight the cola soft drink giants this summer of 1999 by promoting fresh fruit juice at an affordable price of Rs5. The association plans to enroll 1083 small hotels and darshinis in Bangalore to promote fresh fruit juices. Bangalore's population currently consumes 30,000 trays of soft drinks, including tetrapacks, everyday. (khr)
