A busy and varied market
Article Abstract:
There is limited potential for acquisitions and mergers in Scotland, which has 60-70 public companies and a population of 5-5.5 million. This is encouraging clients of corporate finance companies to look to cross-border deals, placing growing emphasis on working in worldwide markets. There has been a strong rise in joint venture activity, especially in the Far East and North America. The Scottish textiles, tourism and drinks sectors have become particularly international in nature.
