Now we get it
Article Abstract:
Pressure on China's govt for better protection of intellectual property now comes largely from within the country, rather than through the US and other outside forces. China's own companies and entrepreneurs increasingly realize they are losing vast sums to those who illegally duplicate their products or their valuable trade names. Authors, musicians, computer-software makers, and pharmaceutical companies have few avenues to redress the problem, and the copyright courts established in 1994 cannot compensate opportunity cost.
