Serbian president Slobodan Milosevic and Radovan Karadzic, leader of the Serbs in Bosnia-Herzegovina, have tentatively agreed to a peace plan. The plan would divide Bosnia-Herzegovina evenly into ten independent provinces for Croats, Serbs and Muslims.

Serbian Pres Sloboban Milosevic urged Bosnian Serb leaders to accept the latest peace plan offered by the UN, because it would protect areas vacated by Serb forces. To ensure peace, Muslim and Croat forces would not be allowed to move into those areas.

Peace may come to the troubled countries that were once Yugoslavia if UN peace proposals are accepted by all sides. The current treaty will give Serbia most of the land it has taken by force.
