Numico agrees to acquire GNC for 1.76 billion euros

General Nutrition Cos. (GNC) has reached an agreement to be acquired by Numico NV for approximately $1.8 billion (1.76 billion euros). Numico is a nutrition products manufacturer based in the Netherlands. The acquisition tender offer price comes out to $25 per share. Numico's bid is for all of GNC's approximately 75 million shares and outstanding options. Also under the deal, Numico would assume debts worth $760 million.
