O&M Calgary promises to rise again
Article Abstract:
Ogilvy and Mather Canada (O&M) Pres Mark Pigott aims to rebuild the agency to its former size by the end of 2001 by using unconventional media approaches. Among these is the Brand Insights Group introduced by the company in 1998 to recapture some of the branding and loyalty territory acquired by consultants. Pigott expects Brand Insights will introduce new clients to O&M more conventional services. The agency closed its recently opened branch in Vancouver when Telus pulled its C$25-million worth of accounts out of O&M.

Calgary rides high
Article Abstract:
Advertising agencies in Calgary, Alberta, are taking advantage of the opportunities brought about by a booming economy and, most importantly, the city's diversification. Prosperity is evident with the number of people flocking to the Alberta to apply to advertising agencies, the expansion of agencies and their opening of new branches. Another factor driving agency growth is the increase in the number of new clients, some of which are not known outside Calgary.
