Office space
Article Abstract:
Richard Saxon is head of architecture at Building Design partnership and is an expert in office design. He believes business parks will become unviable and that environmentally responsive, city centre office buildings will become the norm. Saxon has witnessed changes in office design brought about by electronic technology and the flattening of company heirarchies. He believes the office is becomming a 'generic space' where all work activity can be done. Saxon is opposed to suspended ceilings, preferring raised floors and regards demountable partitions as unnecessary.

People: sculpture's alchemist
Article Abstract:
Indian-born designer and architect Gerry Judah is determined to use art in a positive way to attract attention to causes he is passionate about and to make art accessible to a mass market. He has been commissioned by a wide variety of organisations to design work which reflects and challenges the way people feel about a certain subject. Judah has designed a realistic, miniature model train which contains 6,000 people and is a powerful and moving reflection of the Holocaust and transportation to the concentration camps.
