On a Special Class of Bicriterion Path Problems
Article Abstract:
At times, more than one objective must be considered in operations research problems. This is a special class called bicriterion path problems. They have been rarely studied. The study scope is narrowed to a special class within this group - those that have one objective, a MAXMIN type, and others that include a MINSUM and MINRATIO type. Two algorithms are presented along with computational statistics. Conclusions are outlined. Tables of data run on a microcomputer (a TRS-80 Model with 64K RAM) are included. Formulae are included.

A hierarchical approach for capacity coordination in multiple products single-machine production systems with stationary demands
Article Abstract:
A two-level hierarchical planning and scheduling model for multi-item, single-machine production systems with stochastic demand is presented. The model extends the existing heuristics to handle cases where demand levels are relatively high as compared to production capacity. Capacity is iteratively allocated to individual products for determining the maximum profit while meeting the individual product service target levels.
