One-and-a-half Nelson
Article Abstract:
Carlson chief executive, Marilyn Carlson Nelson, aims to develop integrated cross-selling. The group includes travel agents, cruise liners, and Radisson hotels. Carlson Wagonlit is a major corporate travel agent. Carlson has strengths in marketing, but its different divisions have not always communicated to each other. Nelson aims to change this. The group is able to develop long-term relationships with customers because it is a private company, and this should help with cross-selling.
