Article Abstract:
Architect Robin Snell started his own company, Snell Associates, during 1994. His firm have been awarded two major contracts; to design a new 55 million pounds stadium at Fulham Football Club, Fulham, England, and the 6 million pounds sterling Arnolfini Gallery, Bristol, England. Snell employs 10 people and is hoping to move to new premises to accomodate additional staff. He believes in employing people who will grow with the firm. Snell admits he was able to gain a wide range of experience working on several prize winning designs during his 12 years at Michael Hopkins.

Article Abstract:
Peter Jenkinson is head of Walsall's museums and galleries and has been instrumental in the development of the city's art gallery project. Jenkinson is a promoter of access to the arts and is pleased that a piece of modern architecture has been commissioned in Walsall. He worked closely with the architect and his museum's team to develop the design and refine ideas, although retaining elements of the architect's original proposal.

Bottomley takes over the nation's cultural health
Article Abstract:
Virginia Bottomley has become secretary of state for the Department of National Heritage, following her controversial tenure as health secretary. She joined the Tories whilst reading sociology at Essex University and worked as a researcher for the Child Poverty Action Group. She secured the safe seat of Surrey South-west in 1984 and became under-secretary at the DoE in 1988.
