Planning for energy efficiency
Article Abstract:
Planners are now aware that energy efficiency can be linked with care for the environment and developing the UK economy. Most of the UK population live in towns and cities where energy use, homes and public transport are concentrated. Developing areas and using energy consume one quarter of the UK's gross domestic product, so a coherent policy would produce economic benefits.

Planning in Eastern Europe
Article Abstract:
Poland has had town planning as a priority for many years, shown in such projects as the reconstruction of the Old Town in Warsaw. Both urban and rural areas are subject to regional planning. Environmental aspects are taken into consideration in town and rural planning.
