Practical choke
Article Abstract:
'Cafe coronary' refers to death by choking on food. This happens when the unchewed food goes down to the top of the windpipe instead of the gullet, which cuts the supply of oxygen to the brain. Cafe coronaries usually occur when people drink alcohol with their meals, because alcohol relaxes the reflex so that people gag when large pieces of food are ingested the 'wrong way.' Many US restaurants have posters on their walls showing how people choking on their food may be helped. One popular method is the Heimlich Maneuver, invented by American physician Henry J. Heimlich.

AIDS memoir
Article Abstract:
AIDS has profoundly affected social attitudes to sexual behavior in western countries. The fear of catching an incurable disease has radically changed western sexual mores. Unfortunately, the muddled public discussion of the subject has led to a confused mythology of AIDS that has sprung from widespread ignorance of the basic facts surrounding the disease. The dissemination of accurate information on the medical aspects of AIDS is therefore a prerequisite measure that must be undertaken if the general public is to come to terms with its social impact.
