One of the world's most active markets
Article Abstract:
Many foreign merger and acquisition specialists and private equity houses have established a presence in Switzerland, which has one of the most active merger and acquisition markets in the world. The number of merger and acquisition deals has declined during the 1990s, as has been the case in Europe as a whole, but the value of deals has not fallen. Cross-border deals account for around 78% of Swiss merger and acquisition transactions, with most deals involving Swiss companies merging and purchasing abroad.
