GLAXO TO LAUNCH SLEW OF PRODUCTS TO FUEL 15% GROWTH
Article Abstract:
Glaxo India has plans to launch several products and show sales growth of 15 percent in 1998-99. Sales may also increase due to its takeover of Biddle Sawyer in 1997-98. Glaxo may go in for more acquisitions through its sister concern Burroughs Wellcome India Ltd (BWIL). The launches planned are for Valtrex, an anti herpes drug, Lamotrigine, a drug for epilepsy, Anantone for treatment of cancer and Epivir, a drug for AIDS. (khr)

Dabur India has launched Hajmola Imli, a new variant of its Ayurvedic digestive. The product contains tamarind pulp, which helps in maintaining normalcy in digestion. It is available in a six-tablet sachet pack priced at Re1. The company plans to soon paunch a bottle pack and the product will be available in 12 lakh outlets across the country. (khr)
