Ireland's budget airline Ryanair Holdings PLC was prevented from buying its Irish counterpart Aer Lingus Group PLC by European Union regulators, who said the deal would have created a monopoly in Ireland's air travel market. The $1.99 bil deal, however, had not yet gained enough support among shareholders of Aer Lingus.
