Armenia appears to have gained the upper hand in its war with Azerbaijan over possession of the Nagorno-Karabakh territory. However, the Armenian military victories at Kelbajar and Fizuli may stir up pro-Azeri sentiment in Turkey and Iran, which makes intervention conceivable.

The aftermath: Armenia
Article Abstract:
The Armenian economy is collapsing, victimized by a recent earthquake, the continuing disputes with Azerbaijan, and a crumbling infrastructure. The country is left with no alternative but to establish relations with neighboring Turkey, an old arch-enemy.
